Tottenham Hotspur’s flop Vincent Janssen has completed a loan move to Fenerbahce.

The Dutch striker moved to White Hart Lane only 14 months ago in a £17m deal, but struggled to make an impact playing second fiddle to Harry Kane last season.

The striker made 24 Premier League appearances for Spurs last season, scoring just two league goals.

Spurs’s signing of Fernando Llorente was expected to see Janssen get even less opportunities under Pochettino this season, but still decided to reject a Deadline Day move to Brighton & Hove Albion. He was then omitted from the clubs Champions League squad, with Mauricio Pochettino claiming there simply wasn’t space for him.

Despite the Argentine claiming he is part of his plans for the future, other reports last week suggested that Janssen was ‘finished’ at Spurs.

He has now completed a season long loan deal at Fenerbahce with the Turkish transfer window only closing yesterday.
