Chelsea have announced the loan signing of Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus until the end of the season.
After much speculation Higuain was finally unveiled as a Chelsea player tonight and the prolific striker will wear the number nine shirt at Stamford Bridge, with Alvaro Morata having left it vacant last summer.
The 31-year-old enjoyed the best season of his career under current Blues boss Maurizio Sarri with Napoli in 2015/16, scoring a sensational 36 goals in 35 Serie A appearances.

His superb form in Naples would earn him a £80 million transfer to Juventus where he would continue his excellent goalscoring form and win two successive Scudetto’s.
However, he would be sent out on loan to AC Milan at the start of the season to accommodate Cristiano Ronaldo’s mega-money move to Turin, although Juve have now allowed him to terminate that deal and move to Stamford Bridge.
Higuain joins Chelsea on loan until the end of the current campaign, although it is thought the deal includes an option to buy.
