Mousa Dembele has cast doubt on his future at Tottenham Hotspur after saying he is ‘open’ to a move away.
The Spurs midfielder has been linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks with his contract at White Hart Lane having just one year remaining, and he has attracted interest from Italy and China.
However, despite being a highly thought of player in the Premier League, he has announced that he is unlikely to play for another side in England.
He is quoted as saying: “Tottenham is my club, my family is happy in London and the children are enrolled in a school – all of which you cannot just leave like that.
“But otherwise I’m open to anything. Since I was little, I am someone who loves an adventure. I have already talked about the championship in China with Axel Witsel but I also talked about the MLS to Laurent Ciman and if someone was playing in Bangladesh, I would also ask him for information.
“It will be time to study the options available to me, but I do not see myself playing in another club than Tottenham in England.”
He is currently on international duty with Belgium at the World Cup in Russia, where he will of course come up against England in the final round of games in Group G.
