Spurs beat Chelsea 3-1 in a pulsating Premier League encounter at Wembley on Saturday evening.
England international Dele Alli felt Tottenham Hotspur could have scored more than they did after creating chance after chance against Chelsea’s surprisingly suspect defence.
“We knew it was going to be a difficult game and we knew we had to start strongly. We created a lot of chances – maybe on another day if we had been more clinical we could have scored more,” Alli told BT Sport.
“Chelsea are a top side and they have made some great signings but we are a top side ourselves. It was a great performance by everyone. At 2-0 we could have sat back but we didn’t.”
Saturday’s win moves Spurs ahead of Chelsea into 3rd place, three points behind Liverpool.
Next up for Mauricio Pochettino’s side is a trip to the Emirates Stadium to play Arsenal in the North London Derby next Sunday.
