Star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is currently undergoing a medical at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground, as he looks to finally complete his £60 million pound move from Borussia Dortmund.
The Gunners agreed the transfer fee with the Bundesliga side a couple of days ago. However, Dortmund have been insistent all along that they would not officially sign off on the deal until they themselves had signed a replacement striker.
Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is on his way to the Westfalenstadion this morning to compete a medical, which will allow Aubameyang to finally complete his move to Arsenal.
In a bizarre web of interlinked deals, The Gunners finalising the deal for the Gabon international will then allow Olivier Giroud to move to Stamford Bridge.
Aubameyang will become Arsenal’s record signing, and is famed for his electric pace and lethal finishing ability. Since moving to Dortmund from French side Saint Etienne in 2013, he has netted 98 goals in 144 Bundesliga games.
The 28-year-old is renowned for his flashy lifestyle and love of fast cars. There is little doubt that having such a charismatic character in the Premier League will only add to the overall entertainment factor.
