Man City legend David Silva is looking forward to this weekend’s Carabao Cup final against Chelsea, saying that it will be a ‘beautiful’ yet ‘tough’ afternoon.
Despite what Pep Guardiola and Kevin de Bruyne have said in recent weeks, Man City are still in with a shot of achieving an unprecedented quadruple, and Sunday’s Carabao Cup final offers the Blues the opportunity to get the first trophy in the bag.
They face Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea at Wembley, a side that they hammered 6-0 less than two weeks ago. Despite that though, City playmaker David Silva is not expecting an easy afternoon in North West London.
“It’s another chance to win a title,” he told mancity.com. “And it’s always beautiful to play a final at Wembley, for our fans as well.
“Hopefully, we can win it.
“A final is always difficult, whether you play Chelsea or any other team.
“It’ll be tough. They have a lot of quality players up front, so we should take care.”
