Daley Blind has thanked Manchester United fans for their support, as well as revealing he learned a lot from Jose Mourinho during his time at the club.
Blind spent four years in the Premier League after becoming one of the first signings of the Louis van Gaal era at Old Trafford.
At a time when the headlines are dominated by dressing room unrest at Manchester United, with Mourinho’s relationship with Paul Pogba under the microscope on virtually every sports page and every football website under the sun, Blind has praised the current boss.
While Blind saw his opportunities dwindle following van Gaal’s departure in 2016, he has expressed his gratitude to the Portuguese:
“I almost played 150 matches and won four trophies,” Blind told reporters in the Netherlands.
”I had a very beautiful time [at United] and had many nice moments there.
“I am very grateful to the fans. I worked very nicely with Mourinho.
“I learned a lot from him. He is a winner and he can project that very well on a group.”
