Marc Cucurella is keen to quit Chelsea this summer and has ambitions of returning to Barcelona.
Cucurella wants to return to Spanish football this summer after Chelsea missed out on European qualification.
According to Mundo Deportivo, he has informed the West Londoners of his desire for an exit and all parties have agreed to a sale, provided a suitable offer arrives.
Atletico Madrid are interested in signing the defender, though their valuation falls short of Chelsea’s. Chelsea value Cucurella at between €40m (£34.5m) and €50m (£43.2m).
However, Cucurella is reportedly prioritising a potential move to former club Barcelona, should it emerge as a viable option. Cucurella came through the ranks at Barcelona but made only one first-team appearance before departing the Camp Nou.
He has his sights set on a return, though accepts a transfer to the Spanish champions is difficult.
Barcelona’s focus this summer is on other areas of the pitch, predominantly a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski at centre-forward. A move for Cucurella would also require Alejandro Balde to move on.
