Crystal Palace’s Milivojevic happy to ‘take positives’ after Newcastle stalemate

Crystal Palace and Newcastle played out a pretty drab 0-0 draw in horrible weather conditions earlier today at Selhurst Park.

The draw means Roy Hodgson’s Eagles are still waiting for their first home win of the season in the Premier League, although influential midfielder Luka Milivojevic seemed happy enough with a point and insisted his side can take plenty of positives from the game.

“We missed in the second half many chances. In the first we hit the bar, I think we deserved three points. We played well, we were compact, had good organisation, moved the ball quickly and created chances but missed a 100% chance. When you can’t win, don’t lose,’’ the Serbia international told BBC Sport.

“Sakho wanted to do the best, in the end missed. But okay we draw and continue to try and improve.

“Today the most important thing was a clean sheet, we can take a lot of positives.”
