Crystal Palace host Liverpool in their Premier League matchday 10 meeting on Sunday at Selhurst Park, with Pierre Sage’s side hoping to end the first part of their season on a better note before the international break.

Palace arrive in a difficult run of form, sitting in the bottom three with just seven points from their opening nine league games. The Eagles have now lost three straight Premier League matches without finding the net, beaten 5-0 by Brighton, 2-0 by Newcastle, and 2-0 away at Tottenham. Their defence has also been the leakiest in the division, having shipped 21 goals so far. Still, they showed some fight in midweek, earning a 1-1 Europa League home draw with Hoffenheim after Daichi Kamada struck deep into stoppage time.

Crystal Palace team news

Crystal Palace go into the game against Liverpool with several important players unavailable at Selhurst Park.

Forward Jean-Philippe Mateta is suspended for three domestic matches after being sent off against Tottenham last weekend. He is also missing Ismaïla Sarr, who has a groin problem, Takehiro Tomiyasu with a calf injury, and Chadi Riad, who is out with a knee issue.

Sarr is not expected back until after the international break. There is better news in midfield, though, as Adam Wharton can play despite being sent off in Thursday’s Europa League draw with Hoffenheim, since that suspension only applies in European competition.

Manager Pierre Sage also said Jørgen Strand Larsen is regaining his fitness and could feature for around 60 to 75 minutes, giving him another option up front alongside Eddie Nketiah in what is expected to be a 3-4-2-1 formation.

Crystal Palace predicted lineup

Possible Crystal Palace starting XI: Henderson; Canvot, Disasi, Richards; Khalaili, Wharton, Kamada, Mitchell; Pino, Guessand; Nketiah

When will the match kick off?

The match will kick off at 3pm BST on Sunday, 8th November.
