The transfer window may be closed, but that hasn’t stopped Alan Pardew still trying to make a signing.
It is being reported that Crystal Palace will try to sign former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini in the next few days as they look to get over the disappointment of missing out on Jack Wilshere.
Wilshere snubbed the chance to move to Selhurst Park on loan, instead choosing to move to Bournemouth instead, leaving the Eagles to look elsewhere.
However, with the window closed until January, they are only limited to signing players who are currently free agents, and Flamini fits that criteria after being released by Arsenal in the summer.
Pardew is looking to fill the gap left by Mile Jedinak who left the club to move to Championship club Aston Villa this summer and he hopes Flamini can do that.
Roma, Olympiakos and his former club AC Milan are all believed to be interested in the Frenchman.
