Crystal Palace have slapped an incredible £70 million price tag on Wilfred Zaha, according to reports today.
The Ivory Coast international had an excellent season for The Eagles last term, and while he may have only scored nine goals and three assists, he was crucial to Palace staying in the Premier League for yet another season.
It has been previously reported that the 25-year-old has turned down a big money contract offer of around £125,000-a-week, and has told Palace that he would like to move on to a bigger club.
Reports in recent days have suggested that Everton and Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing the winger, with Arsenal, Man City and Spurs also having been linked back in the January transfer window.
However, according to the Sun, Palace have slapped a whopping £70 million price tag on the winger’s head in a bid to detract any potential bids for a player who only signed a new five-year deal just 15 months ago.
Zaha has, of course, has already had a crack at a bigger club, moving to Manchester United in 2013, but failing to impress either David Moyes or Louis van Gaal, who subsequently sold him back to the South London club.
Since then, he has been named Crystal Palace’s Player of the Year for three consecutive years.
