Crystal Palace have rejected an £18million offer from Everton for one of their star players according to reports.
The Guardian claim that Crystal Palace have rejected Everton’s move for DR Congo winger Yannick Bolasie, and have demanded almost double that amount in order for the transfer to proceed.
New Everton boss Ronald Koeman has been desperately trying to find additions to his squad at Goodison Park, but so far have been limited to the signings of Idrissa Gueye and Marten Stekelenburg from Championship clubs Aston Villa and Fulham respectively.
Everton are intending to return to Palace with an offer in excess of £20million, but that offer is unlikely to be accepted unless they bid the £30million asking price.
Crystal Palace have already secured the signing of Andros Townsend, who is a ready made replacement for Bolasie, but will look to gain funds to sign Liverpool striker Christian Benteke, who is also commanding a fee of around £30million, despite his poor form last season.
