Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed that he they would like to sign on loan Chelsea attacker Ruben Loftus-Cheek permanently when his season long loan deal expires at the end of the season.
Loftus-Cheek has been in impressive form for Palace in the Premier League this season, and recently stared for England against Germany and Brazil.
The 21-year-old has clearly benefitted from playing regular first-team football at Selhurst Park, and it remains to be seen how Chelsea signing Ross Barkley from Everton will effect his chances of securing a starting spot at Stamford Bridge.
If Loftus-Cheek does become available on a permanent deal next summer his performances so far this term will mean that Palace will have plenty of competition for his signature.
