Rio Ferdinand has labelled Cristiano Ronaldo as a ‘Football God’ after the Juventus superstar hit a Champions League hat-trick against Atletico Madrid.
The 34-year-old hit a treble for the Italian champions as advanced to the quarter-finals thanks to a 3-0 win at Juventus Stadium, sealing a stunning comeback to win 3-2 on aggregate after losing the first leg 2-0 in Spain last month.
Ronaldo’s hat-trick took his tally in the competition to 124 goals, and keeps alive the Portuguese international’s hopes of a record-equalling sixth European Cup success.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is a living football God and it is ridiculous what he is doing,” Ferdinand told BT Sport.
“In the Champions League he has got every record you can imagine. It was also against an Atletico team that is renowned for having a great defence.”
