West Ham looking to push up table over next couple of months say Cresswell

English football is almost infamous for its hectic Winter football schedule and West Ham’s Aaron Cresswell is hoping his side can use the festive period to pick up some much-needed wins and move up the table over those few weeks.

West Ham will play seven games in Premier League fixtures in December, three home and four on the road. All but one of those games is against a team in the bottom half of the league (the exception is Watford who are currently in 8th).

Cresswell feels that December’s fixtures give West Ham the perfect opportunity to go on a winning run which would set them up nicely for the new year.

“Everyone knows in England that December time is crazy with the fixtures, so if we can get the wins and push ourselves further up the table, there’s no reason why we can’t go on a good run,’’ Cresswell told whufc.com.

“The games come every few days for a solid three or four weeks and it’s a vital part of the season.”

West Ham travel to play Huddersfield Town this weekend and then it’s the international break.

When they return to Premier League action at the end of the month it will be to welcome title-holders and current league leaders, Manchester City, to the London Stadium.
