Philippe Coutinho is just a matter of hours away from completing a big money move from Liverpool to Barcelona according to reports in Spain.
Spanish publication Sport claim that Barcelona’s representatives have flown to Liverpool to negotiate a deal to take the Brazilian to the Nou Camp.
Coutinho is believed to have told Liverpool that he would like to leave the club, providing that he can strike an amicable departure. He is believed to be happy on Merseyside, but also realises that the opportunity to move to Barcelona may only come once.
Following Neymar’s £198m departure to PSG last week, there is a big hole in Barcelona squad, a squad the Brazilian would is hoping to fill.
The Catalan club are hoping to conclude a deal this week after Liverpool’s owners FSG agreed to sell their star player, despite manager Jurgen Klopp insisting he won’t be sold.
The 25-year-old scored 13 goals and made seven assists for the Reds last season.
