Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has refused to rule out staying at the club, admitting that he enjoys living in London.
The Chelsea number one has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, after allowing his contract with the Blues to enter his final year.
He has previously hinted at a move to Real Madrid, with the European champions known to be in the market for a new goalkeeper.
However, while the Belgian hasn’t ruled out leaving the club on a free transfer next summer, he has also suggested he could ultimately stay at the West London club:
“I will be coming back [to Chelsea], for sure, and I will see what they want and how they say it,” he told reporters after Belgium’s World Cup campaign came to an end on Saturday.
“Obviously with this World Cup, I think what was on the table obviously is different than what I can have, maybe.
“People always complain that players don’t comply with their contracts, but maybe they do.
“I don’t think they will keep someone with my qualities on the bench, even if I don’t sign a new contract. But maybe staying is possible, because I like it in London.
