Could Antonio Conte quit Chelsea?

Antonio Conte’s relationship at Chelsea as at breaking point according to reports in Italy.

Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Italian manager’s relationship with senior officials at Chelsea has a “mutual tension” following the Diego Costa saga last week.

While on international duty with Spain, Costa revealed that Antonio Conte had told him he was no longer a part of his plans, and that he could leave the club. All of this done by text message.

Costa revealed that he wanted to move back to his former club Atletico Madrid, but the situation is made difficult with the Spanish clubs transfer ban.

Conte himself has been linked with a move away from Chelsea after his Premier League title winning campaign with the Blues last season. Inter Milan were believed to be willing to splash the cash to sign the Italian.

Meanwhile the Daily Record claim that the Italian has laid down a number of conditions if he is to remain as Chelsea manager.

He has demanded a direct line of contact between himself and owner Roman Abramovic as well as control over the coaching staff at his disposal. He also wants complete control of the clubs academy as well as a a big transfer kitty to improve the Champions’ squad. All this in addition to improved personal financial terms for himself.
