Conte casts doubt on Costa's Chelsea future

Despite numerous reports over the last few weeks that Chelsea will not be selling Diego Costa, Antonio Conte has admitted he doesn’t know if the striker will be at the club in a few weeks time.

Speaking after a 3-2 defeat to Real Madrid on their pre-season tour of the USA, the Italian castes doubt upon the prospect of the Spaniard remaining at Stamford Bridge for the upcoming season.

He said:

I can say today that Costa is a Chelsea player.

He didn’t play in this game because of injury and if he solves this injury and I see him in training and he is in good shape, then it can be possible to see him in our next game against Milan.
I speak for today and today Costa is a Chelsea player. Tomorrow, if you ask me if Costa will remain with us, I don’t know.

Costa has been repeatedly linked with a move to his former club Atletico Madrid
