Confusion over M'baye Niang future

What will happen with AC Milan forward M’Baye Niang?

When the Niang joined Milan back in 2012, optimism surrounded the move. However, bar a few impressive performances, things haven’t gone quite as well as Milan would’ve liked. So, five years later, with the 22 year old on the transfer list, what’s next for the Frenchman?

On the 17th of August, Sky Sport Italia reported that Spartak Moscow had reached an agreement to sign Niang for €18m, with a medical in Rome being scheduled for the following day. However, on the day of the reported medical, Sky Sport Italia reported that the left winger was unsure of a move to the Russian side and that he was training with the team as per usual.

It is understood that the Frenchman had a meeting with club Sporting Director Massimiliano Mirabelli to try and find a solution to his future.

Torino have been interested for a while now and it seems as if they are now front runners in the race after Niang turned down Spartak’s offer. Sky reported that I Granata would be open to signing the 22-year-old for €12m. The Turin based club could see the Frenchman as an upgrade to Adam Ljaic.

After being a key player at the San Siro only a few months ago, it’ll be interesting to see where M’baye Niang will be playing his football come September.
