Sky Sports claims that the clubs have finally come to an agreement over a £26.3million (€32million) transfer, despite the player having just one-year remaining on his Borussia Dortmund contract.w

The players agent, Mino Raiola, has encouraged prolonged interest from United, despite Dortmund being initially adamant that the Armenian was not for sale.

However, the agent has worked hard on his clients behalf allowing the clubs to come to agreement, and German football expert Raphael Honigstein claims that the Bundesliga club have sent officials to Manchester to finalise the deal.

Manchester United have already completed the signing of Eric Bailly, whilst Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to join Mkhitaryan at Old Trafford next week.
