Christian Eriksen is confident that Rasmus Hojlund can adapt quickly at Manchester United as the summer arrival nears his debut for the club.
Hojlund has returned to first-team training after arriving at Old Trafford with a back problem and is understood to be in contention to make his Premier League debut against Arsenal next weekend.
The Denmark international signed in a £72m deal from Atalanta and Eriksen – who plays alongside the 20-year-old for the national side – has opened up on what the Manchester United fans can expect from the new recruit.
“He’s a guy who holds his ground,” Eriksen said, as per the club’s official website.
“He doesn’t back down from anything. He’s really a front-foot guy, who is aggressive and really attack-minded.
“But, at the same time, a nice guy outside of football.”
Eriksen has spent much of his career in the Premier League during spells at Spurs and United and said he will look to pass on his experience to his compatriot. The midfielder admits the Premier League is ‘different’ to other leagues but is confident Hojlund can adapt.
“Yeah, I definitely will [pass that experience on] but he will definitely see it for himself,” added Eriksen.
“The Premier League is different compared to any other league he’s been at before.
“So he’s going to have to adapt. But I’m sure he will adapt quickly.”
