Chelsea forward Pedro admits he would ‘drop everything’ if Barcelona came calling

Chelsea forward Pedro admits he would ‘drop everything’ should Barcelona come calling regarding a potential return to the Camp Nou.

The Spaniard has entered the final months of his contract at Stamford Bridge and is available on a free transfer in the summer, the winger having fallen out-of-favour under Frank Lampard this season after making just four Premier League starts.

The 32-year-old came through the academy ranks at Barcelona and enjoyed seven hugely successful seasons in the first team before moving to English football, winning five La Liga titles and three Champions Leagues during glittering spell at the Catalan side.

Despite admitting he remains uncertain of his long term future, Pedro admits that a return to his former side would prove too difficult a proposition to turn down.

“If Barca call me, I’ll drop everything,” the Chelsea forward told L’Esportiu.

“There was a moment in pre-season when we played against Barca that, after talking with the coach, I saw a chance, but the door closed quickly.

“At this point, I don’t know what will happen to me, just that I’m contracted to Chelsea until the end of the season.”
