Chelsea will submit an improved bid for Juventus left-back Alex Sandro according to reports in Italy.
CalcioMercato.com claim that Juventus are bracing themselves for an improved bid of around €70m (£62m) for the Brazilian full back.
They claim that the price would pretty much secure the signature of the former Porto defender, who has been offered a five-year deal worth around £120,000-a-week (€7m-a-year), and is keen to make the move to a new league.
However, Juventus are keen to keep the Brazilian, and are preparing to offer a contract renewal of their own. They are apparently planning to increase his salary from the current €2.8m to €5m-a-year.
The full back has made 74 appearances for the Italian giants in the two years since his €26m transfer from FC Porto, scoring five goals.
Juventus are however thought to be ready to allow Sandro’s fellow full-back and international team mate Dani Alves to leave, with a potential free transfer to Manchester City being speculated.
