Chelsea’s pursuit of Juventus full back Alex Sandro has been dealt a bitter blow.
Chelsea have been linked with a number of players this summer, but have so far only signed three, Alvaro Morata, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Antonio Rudiger, for a combined total of £135m.
They have been linked with a move for Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, but their hopes of signing him have been dealt a blow after Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri claimed the defender is going nowhere.
The Italian said:
“Alex Sandro? He’s a Juventus player, he is extraordinary and he won’t leave us.
“Alex Sandro is an extraordinary player who has been much improved since he came and still has a lot of improvement, and together with Marcelo I think they are the strongest left back in the world”
The Brazilian is yet to sign a new deal with the Italian champions, and speculation surrounding his future is likely to continue until he does so. However his manager does not seem willing to let his defender leave.
