Chelsea to beat Juventus to signing of Real Madrid player

Chelsea believe they have have done enough to complete the signing of Real Madrid full back Danilo.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Premier League champions have agreed a deal to sign the Real Madrid right back, who is believed to be surplus to requirements with the Bernabeu.

He had been linked with a move to Serie A Champions Juventus, but now according to reports he has agreed a £28m switch to Stamford Bridge.

The article in the Mirror claims that Antonio Conte hopeful of concluding a deal for the Brazilian before the team jet off on their pre-season tour of China next week.

A deal for Danilo could assist the club’s pursuit of Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, who has also been linked with completeing a big money move to the Premier League champions this summer. Sandro is a former teammate of Danilo during their time at FC Porto and are believed to be good friends.

Conte is believed to be keen on strengthening his Chelsea squad this summer ahead of a more challenging fixture list next season, with the onslaught of Champions League football while defending their Premier League crown.
