Maurizio Sarri has predicted that Chelsea’s game against Burnley will be ‘very difficult’ and has said that he will have to make ‘six or seven’ changes.
However, having cruised to a 3-1 victory against Belarussian outfit BATE Borisov on Thursday night in the Europa League, Chelsea boss Sarri has said that Sunday’s clash at Turf Moor will be ‘a tough game,’ as well as revealing that he will need to ring the changes to his starting line-up.
“We will see tomorrow for Sunday as I don’t know at the moment, but we will need to change six or seven players. Burnley are very difficult, I saw a lot of their matches last season, and I know it will be a tough game,” he told BT Sport.
Fans have been clamoring for Ruben Loftus-Cheek to get an opportunity in the starting line-up in the Premier League, but the chain-smoking Italian cautioned that the midfielder needs to improve defensively first before that happens, despite getting a hat-trick on Thursday.
Sarri already made a number of changes though for the Europa League clash, with only Kepa Arrizabalaga and Matteo Kovacic retaining their place from the 2-2 draw with Manchester United last weekend.
