Chelsea’s search for competition for Alvaro Morata continues, and Sky Sports are now reporting that the Stamford Bridge club are interested in bringing former Man City striker Edin Dzeko back to the Premier League.
The Bosnia international has scored 12 goals for Roma this season, including a sublime volley against the club now trying to sign him in the Champions League group stages.
The 31-year-old spent five seasons in England with Manchester City between 2011-2016, and won two Premier Leagues, the FA Cup and the League Cup. He scored 50 goals in 130 games for The Citizens, although many of them appearances came from the substitutes bench.
Chelsea are looking to seal a double deal for Roma left-back Emerson Palmieri and Dzeko. The Stamford Bridge club are prepared to pay up to £50 million for the duo, and have also offered out-of-favour striker Michy Batshuayi in part exchange.
