Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is being linked with a shock move Bayern Munich, despite his underwhelming season at Stamford Bridge.
The Spanish striker moved to West London in a £58 million from Real Madrid in the summer, and initially looked to be an instant hit, scoring eight goals in his first nine games for the club.
However, he has only scored one goal in 2018, and only recently ended a shocking three-month goal drought when he found the net in the Blues’ 2-1 victory over Leicester in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
He has even lost his place in the Spanish international squad for the recent pre World Cup international friendlies by Spain coach Julen Lopetegui.
Despite his relatively poor start to life in England, the former Juventus striker is being linked with a surprise move to Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich.
Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski has been the subject of speculation surrounding his future this summer, with Chelsea, Man Utd and Real Madrid all said to be interested in the Polish goal machine.
Now, according to Spanish publication AS, Morata is one of the players on Bayern Munich’s list of players that could replace the 30-year-old.
