Chelsea’s star midfielder N’Golo Kante has revealed that he has no intention of leaving Stamford Bridge to move to Ligue Un Champions PSG this summer.
The 26-year-old moved to England in the summer of 2015 when he joined Leicester City from French side Caen for just £6 million. He went on to become an integral part of the Foxes team that caused one of football’s greatest ever upsets by winning the Premier League title in his only season with the club.
Chelsea then snapped up the France international for £32 million the following season, and once again he would prove himself to be one of Europe’s best defensive midfielders as the Blues won the EPL title in his first campaign with the club.
Kante is currently back in France on international duty and the local media are reporting that PSG are readying a mega money deal to lure him back to his homeland. However, the diminutive midfielder has rubbished this suggestion during an interview with the London Evening Standard.
“I am at home. It is my club, I am a Chelsea player. This is my second year at Chelsea. After what happened last season, it was a very good one for us because we got to celebrate winning the title.
“In the second season, I have got to play in the Champions League and we are going again to finish in the top four. We will fight until the end to finish in the top four and to get in a Champions League position.
We also have the FA Cup to play for – it is a good competition. Last season we failed in the final. It is the only trophy we can win this season, so we have to give everything to get to the final and win it.” Kante said.
