Chelsea are set to enter the race for highly rated Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri.
The 26-year-old has also been heavily linked with both Manchester clubs and Arsenal over the last few months. According to reports in the Mirror Chelsea now seem intent on signing the £35 million rated midfielder this summer.
The Blues are looking to strengthen in the centre of the park after the sale of Nemanja Matic to Manchester United last summer, with the two players they signed to replace the Serbia interantional, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater having failed to impress so far during their Stamford Bridge careers.
Seri has become on of Europes most sought after central midfielders operators over the last 18 months after putting in a series of eye catching performances in Ligue 1.
The Ivory Coast international is renowned for his all-action displays for Nice. He is blessed with superb technique and possesses all the physical attributes required to thrive in the rough and tumble of the Premier League.
Seri was left heartbroken last summer when his move to Spanish giants Barcelona fell through at the last minute.
However, it now looks most likely that he will move to one of England’s elite clubs during the next transfer window, although the talented midfielder is said to be keen to see who Chelsea decide they want to take over from Antonio Conte at the end of this season before making a choice on whether or not to move to Stamford Bridge.
