Chelsea have seen their £63m bid for Juventus full back Alex Sandro rejected in another blow to Antonio Conte’s summer transfer plans.
Chelsea have been looking to add new full backs to their squad this summer, with a number of players been linked. However with just 13 days until the end of the summer transfer window, the Premier League champions have failed to make any new additions in this particular department.
Not only has the bid been rejected, but Juventus club director Beppe Marotta confirmed that they had rejected an offer suggested that the Brazilian did not fancy the move to Stamford Bridge.
“He said he wants to stay here. So we sent the offers right back where they came from.”
Chelsea have been linked with the number of full backs other than Sandro, including Danilo, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Cedric Soares and Ryan Bertrand.
