Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has revealed that Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen is the Spurs player he admires the most.
Sarri’s unbeaten Chelsea side travel to Wembley to face Mauricio Pochettino’s in form Spurs team this evening in what promises to be an intriguing encounter.
Speaking ahead of the game Sarri admitted that while he thinks highly of England captain and Spurs talisman Harry Kane, it is actually classy midfield operator Eriksen that he really likes.
“Kane is the best English striker at the moment, but I like very much Eriksen.’’ Sarri told his pre-match press conference.
“He is a very smart player, a very technical player.
“He’s able to play in midfield and, at the same moment, score eight or nine goals in a season.”
Only one point currently separates these London rivals heading into this evenings clash, with Chelsea in third and Spurs in fourth place in the Premier League table.
