AC Milan will offer Chelsea a potential swap deal that could see Alvaro Morata leave the club after just one year.
The Spanish striker has endured a difficult season at Stamford Bridge, which has seen him miss out on this summer’s World Cup squad, scoring just 15 goals in 48 appearances for the Blues.
He moved to the Premier League last summer in a club record £58 million move from Real Madrid, and had been chased by Manchester United, before they decided to sign Romelu Lukaku instead.
While Morata started the season in fine form, that form soon evaporated, and he endured a number of lengthy goal droughts throughout the season.
He has already been linked with an exit from Chelsea this summer with Juventus thought to be interested in re-signing their former player, however the latest reports from Italy claim that AC Milan have joined the race for his signature.
Corriere dello Sport claim that the Rossonieri will offer young goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in part exchange for Morata in am attempt to get Chelsea to do business for their most expensive signing ever.
Chelsea have already been linked with a number of top strikers from around Europe, including Robert Lewandowski and Gonzalo Higuain, meaning Morata could already be surplus to requirements.
The offer of Donnarumma could also be of interest to the Blues, who are reportedly resigned to losing first choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois this summer, with Real Madrid and Liverpool interested in the Belgian stopper.
