Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, according to reports in The Mirror.
The 28-year-old Gabon international has been in fine form for Dortmund this season netting 17 goals in 19 games, although he was in the headlines for all the wrong reasons recently when he was suspended by the club for disciplinary reasons before their game against Stuttgart, and just this weekend he was sent off as his side threw away a four goal lead against arch-rivals Schalke.
Aubameyang’s poor attitude has upset several of his team-mates, and the club have let it be known that they are prepared to listen to offers for the enigmatic frontman in January.
The talented striker is renowned for his electric pace and clinical finishing ability. Since joining Dortmund from French side St.Etienne in 2011 he has netted a hugely impressive 96 goals in 140 appearances.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has spoken of his club’s need to strengthen their squad with top-class signings in January and with his main striker Alvaro Morata struggling with playing three games a week, a move for Aubameyang could make sense for all parties.
