Alvaro Morata insists he wants to remain at Atletico Madrid and is ‘not thinking about going’ back to Chelsea.
The Spain international joined to Diego Simeone’s side on an 18 month loan deal back in January, following an underwhelming spell in the Premier League, and has scored six goals since returning to La Liga.
There have been some suggestions that Chelsea may recall the forward to cope with their two-window transfer ban, however the 26-year-old has revealed he is happy at in the Spanish capital and has no intention of returning to Stamford Bridge.
“What is clear is what I want, I want to be here,” Morata told MARCA.
“I’m going to do all I can to keep playing here, I did all I could to come and I will do all I can to stay. I’m not thinking about going back anywhere, only being here.
“I’m happy here and I want to be here for the years I have left at the top level.”
