Chelsea have sent scouts to watch Luis Guilherme and are one of several ‘top European clubs’ monitoring the Palmeiras midfielder.
Chelsea had representatives in attendance to watch Guilherme during Palmeiras’ Copa Libertadores semi-final defeat to Boca Juniors last week, with Bayern Munich also sending scouts to run the rule over the 17-year-old.
Guilherme came on as a second-half substitute in the clash and has broken into the Palmeiras team since making his senior debut for the club in April 2023.
The technical midfielder’s emergence has alerted major European sides and Fabrizio Romano has reported that recruiters from five top European clubs were in attendance to watch Guilherme this week. Manchester United have also been credited with interest.
No official bid has been lodged from either Chelsea or Bayern, but both are tracking his development ahead of potential approaches.
Chelsea have extensively scouted South America in recent windows and have brought in a whole host of emerging talent from the continent, with deals agreed for Andrey Santos, Angelo Gabriel, Deivid Washington and Kendry Páez.
