AC Milan are looking to agree a new contract with Mike Maignan, amid interest in the goalkeeper from Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
Chelsea are in the market for a new goalkeeper after allowing Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy to leave west London during the summer and Maignan is on the club’s list of potential options.
The 28-year-old has starred since signing for Milan from Lille in 2021, with the Frenchman named as Serie A’s Best Goalkeeper as the Rossoneri won the title in his debut campaign.
Last season Maignan impressed as Milan reached the Champions League semi-finals and he has become France’s first-choice goalkeeper since Hugo Lloris’ international retirement.
Calciomercato are reporting that Chelsea and PSG are monitoring his situation in Milan, where the Italian side are hopeful of agreeing a new long-term contract.
Milan are prepared to make Maignan one of the world’s best-paid goalkeepers in a bid to persuade the shot-stopper to sign new terms at the San Siro.
PSG are also admirers, having overhauled their squad during the summer. The Ligue 1 champions have brought in a number of France internationals to build a homegrown core at the club, with Randal Kolo Muani, Ousmane Dembele, Lucas Hernandez and u-21 international Bradley Barcola all arriving at the Parc des Princes.
