Chelsea, Man United, Spurs interested in Fulham’s Palhinha

Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham are among the growing number of clubs interested in Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha.

Palhinha is attracting interest from Premier League rivals after an impressive debut season at Fulham, with the 27-year-old having been excellent during Cottagers’ return to the top flight.

Palhinha signed for Fulham in a £20m deal from Sporting Lisbon last summer and has shone as the anchor of Marco Silva’s midfield.

The Portugal international has scored four goals in all competitions and leads the Premier League for tackles won this season, performances which have seen a host of the division’s ‘Big Six’ express interest in signing the midfielder.

Football Insider are reporting that Fulham are ‘aware’ of the growing interest in Palhinha, as Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham all prepare summer approaches.

The former have doubts over a number of their midfield options heading into the summer, with N’Golo Kante yet to agree a new contract at Chelsea and both Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic entering the final 12 months of their deals at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool are also understood to have scouted Palhinha this season as Jurgen Klopp prepares a rebuild of his midfield at the end of the season. Palhinha has won 20 caps for Portugal since his international debut in 2021.
