Chelsea’s two main attacking transfer targets revealed

Maurizio Sarri is keen to add to his attacking options at Chelsea and owner Roman Abramovich is ready to back the Italian in the January transfer window.

According to Goal, Sarri has identified two players to add to his attacking options and is preparing winter moves to strengthen his squad.

One target is believed to be Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, with the 21-year-old linked with a move away from the Spanish champions after a series of injury and disciplinary issues.

The Frenchman has been linked with several Premier League clubs, with the talented attacker likely to command a sizeable fee, having cost the Catalan side £97m when signing from Borussia Dortmund in 2017.

Goal are reporting that the second player Sarri has indentified is Lyon captain Nabil Fekir. The 25-year-old attacking midfielder was on the verge of signing for Liverpool last summer, though the deal collapsed over concerns with the player’s medical.

Those reports do not seem to have deterred Chelsea, who would likely have to pay upwards of £50m to take the French World Cup winner to Stamford Bridge.
