Chelsea are prepared to listen to offers for club captain Gary Cahill in the January transfer window.
Cahill, 32, has struggled for game time under Maurizio Sarri this season and after entering the final year of his Chelsea contract, the centre-back’s six-year spell at Stamford Bridge appears to be coming to an end.
The Daily Mail are reporting that Chelsea would be willing to sanction a loan-switch for the defender, despite his contract expiring in the summer, as a mark of a respect for Cahill’s service to the club.
A whole host of clubs in the Premier League and Championship clubs are believed to be interested in securing the signing of the former England international, with the likes of West Ham, Southampton and Aston Villa keen.
There have even been tentative links of a move to Manchester United and a reunion with Jose Mourinho.
Cahill arrived at Chelsea from Bolton in 2012 and has gone on to win a host of major trophies including the 2012 Champions League and two league titles.
