Reported Chelsea target Sandro Tonali has been described as ‘better than Andrea Pirlo’ at the same age.
The Brescia midfielder has attracted interest from a host of Europe’s top clubs and has been likened to the legendary Italian midfielder since emerging at the Serie B club.
With rumoured interest from the likes of Juventus, Inter Milan and Chelsea, the 18-year-old is likely to move on before long and according to the player’s agent, has the potential to be better than Pirlo.
Speaking of his teenage client, Roberto La Florio said: “Sandro Tonali is Sandro Tonali, he’s not the new (Andrea) Pirlo, it’s the other way around,’’ Tribal Football quote the agent as saying.
“While being close to him in terms of a plan and character, it can only hurt him to call him ‘new Pirlo’.
“At his age, Pirlo was not even a senior player, so if we want to exaggerate, Tonali is at the same age even better.”
