La Liga Champions Barcelona have made Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante one of their main transfer targets for next summer.
Kante has established himself as one of the Europe’s top defensive midfielders during his spells in the Premier League with Chelsea and Leicester City and his stock rose even further this summer after his superb displays that helped inspire his Country France to World Cup glory in Russia.
The 27-year-old was heavily linked with a £100 million to PSG this summer, although the midfield destroyer decided against returning to his homeland in favour of staying at Stamford Bridge.
However, Kante has struggled somewhat this season having been asked to play a more attacking role under new Blues boss Maurizio Sarri who prefers £57 million summer signing Jorghino to play as a number six for his side.
According to a report in Sport Mediaset Barcelona are now monitoring Kante’s situation with a view for making a move for the hugely talented midfielder during next summers transfer window.
Barca have also been heavily with signing Kante’s France international teammate and Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
