Chelsea join race for talented winger

Chelsea are believed to be ready to make a January move for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, according to reports in The Mirror.

The reigning Premier League Champions will have plenty of competition in the race for the talented attackers signature though with North London rivals Arsenal and Spurs also long-term admirers of the Ivory Coast international.

Zaha has been in superb form for Palace scoring 4 goals in 12 games this season, and has been the star of his sides recent climb out of the Premier League relegation zone.

The 25-year-old began his career at Selhurst Park before in 2013 becoming the last signing Manchester United’s legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson ever made. Things did not work out for Zaha at Old Trafford however, and he moved back to Palace after just one season with the Red Devils.

The general feeling is that he has matured greatly in the last couple of seasons from the talented but raw player that failed to make the grade at Old Trafford, and many are predicting that he is now ready to showcase his undoubted talent for a top-six side.

Palace are said to be bracing themselves for plenty of interest in Zaha when the transfer window opens next month, although they are said to be determined to keep hold of him until next summer at least.
