Chelsea are looking to beat Arsenal and Manchester City in the race to sign £70m Real Madrid star, Isco, according to reports.
Isco is one of the silkiest players in the current Real Madrid squad, but can’t seem to get a game under new boss Santiago Solari.
The 26-year-old has only started five of Los Blancos’ 16 La Liga games this season and has been tipped to finally leave the Bernabeu after years of speculation.
Man City manager Pep Guardiola is known to be a big admirer, as is Arsenal boss Unai Emery, but according to The Sun, Chelsea are looking to steal a march on his signature and will submit a £70 million today in order to try to prise him away from the Spanish capital.
The report claims that the Blues are willing to offer Isco £250,000-a-week as well as a ‘hefty signing on fee’ in order to take him to Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.
He was recently booed off by the Real Madrid faithful at the Bernabeu who claim that he is not fit enough and is carrying too much weight.
Chelsea are thought to want to pair Isco with Hazard, rather than having Isco being a replacement for the Belgian, who is constantly fluttering his eyelids in the direction of the Spanish capital.
