The Brazilian left Stamford Bridge in 2014, joining French Champions Paris Saint-Germain in what was a surprise £50million move.
However, with Chelsea looking to add defensive options to their ranks, they have turned their attentions to the former Chelsea player, who is believed to be interested in making the move back to the Premier a League.
