Chelsea are now the clear favourites to sign Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Chelsea’s London rivals Spurs have also been heavily linked with a move for the Ivory Coast international, but according to the Mirror the White Hart Lane outfit have been scared off by Palace’s £75 million valuation, leaving Chelsea with a clear run at the talented winger.
Zaha is said to feel he has achieved everything he can at Selhurst Park and would like a move to Chelsea where he will be able to take his career to the next level and challenge for the Premier League title and hopefully compete in the Champions League.
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has recently stated that the talented attacker is not for sale, however the Eagles are expected to do business if Chelsea match their £75 million valuation.
If Zaha does complete a move to Stamford Bridge, it may well have a knock-on effect on the future of Brazilian winger Willian, who has been courted by Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona this summer.
