Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has confirmed that star attacker will miss tonight’s Europa League clash against BATE Borisov at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard has started the season in the form of his life scoring seven goals and providing three assists in just seven Premier League starts.
However, Sarri has revealed that the Belgium international will not be considered for tonights Group L clash due to a back injury, although he is expected to return for the Blues trip to Burnley on Sunday.
“Tomorrow Eden Hazard is out for sure. He has a back problem,” Sarri said in his pre-match press conference “We are trying to solve the problem for Sunday, I think it is not very easy, and the other one out is Ethan Ampadu because of a knee injury. That was suffered on international duty with Wales.’’
Chelsea currently sit top of their Europa League group having beaten PAOK Salonika and MOL Vidi in their first two games.
