Chelsea have had a £32million bid for Portugal and Valencia star, Andre Gomes, rejected according to Sky Sports News HQ this morning.

The midfielder played for his country last night in the surprise 1-1 draw against minnows Iceland and has been linked with a move to Manchester United for a number of months.

However, the Red Devils seem to have got some competition for his signature now, as Chelsea have made a £32million bid for the 23-year old midfielder.

Sky Sports claim that the bid has been rejected by Valencia, with the La Liga club holding out for £42million. This is due to the fact that they owe 25% of any transfer fee to Gomes’ former club, Benfica.
